University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brno (Pharmacy)


University has more than 90 years of tradition. It was founded in 1918 and consists of 3 faculties: Faculty of Veterinary medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology and Faculty of Pharmacy. University is the only one in Czech Republic, that provides education in veterinary medicine, veterinary hygiene and ecology, and just one of two teaching pharmaceutical science.


Program of Pharmacy is taught at the Facutly of Pharmacy. Faculty provides education in both Czech and English language.

Degree from Faculty is recognised in European union without need to make any further exams.


Brno is the second biggest city of Czech Republic. It is situated on crossroads between Vienna, Bratislava and Prague. Brno is typical students city, since every year between September and June there are 80 000 students living in the city (in total there are 400 000 inhabitants). Brno was listed among TOP 50 best places for living in 2016.

Yes, University provides an accomodation for international students.
There is accommodation provided by University for students at Kaunic´s Hall of Residence 10-15 minutes by walking from University. Rent is around 110€ per month. There is an internet access at Dormitory.

Study programmes:

Except of Pharmacy, international students may also study veterinary medicine in English at University.


English program Pharmacy is offered at Faculty of Pharmacy and is Master degree programe. There are tuition fees related to study in height of 6700€ per one study year. Program consists of 5 years. There is special regime of teaching during the last year of studies – 6 months internship in the pharmacy included in curriculum. Degree is internationally recognised abroad. Graduates work in public or hospital pharmacies (65%), state administration / legislation (15%), educational facilities (7%), companies dealing with clinical studies (10%), biological laboratories (2%), others (1%)

Tuition fees:

Cost of program Pharmacy in English is 6700€ per academic year.

Living costs:

Living costs depends on students standards, but student should estimate with 320€ per month as minimum, which equals to 3200€ per 10 monts.

Total costs of stay for one studying year:

Total costs for one year are 9900€.

Admission criterias
Admission criterias:

Students must take an entrance examination. In order to be accepted to Master program of Pharmacy, applicant must pass entrance examination, which is writtern test from biology or chemistry. Entrance examination is done online, directly at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Deadline for submitting documents for an entrance examination:

Documents should be delivered to Study department until end of June. In case there are still free place left, applicants may contact Faculty directly and inquiry this information.
